Blowen head gasket

Hey is there anyone in this forum that\'s pretty on to it with their subarus.im looking at buying a sti wagon for a fair price it\'s got a blowen head gasket. I can get the motor out just looking for someone that knows what there doing to change the head gaskets and whatever needs doing while its out, it\'s had a full rebuild not too sure why head gasket blew. Willing to negotiate the price to get the job done otherwise any shops that are fair priced. Any help or a point in the right direction will be much appreciated. I\'m in Auckland

look up what a running one is worth then take a 0 off the price and start from there .

if you cant do most of the work yourself i wouldnt touch it . its had a god knows what state rebuild from god knows who now it has a "blown headgasket" .

there is a lot of unknowns in there that will all come out of your pocket unless you sre doin it yourself

And to your first question. Nope no one knows anything about subarus. Only chev motors really around here

Hey cheers on the replys guys haha I know it\'s a Subaru forum, I can give it a go my self it\'s just because I haven\'t done one on a Subaru motor before. It\'s a pretty good buy I\'ve talked to the old owner who built the car and got him to confirm what is done, so it\'s pretty well priced. Anyone know on the wrx that had the plate SEEN on it? Well that\'s the car it\'s forged and runing a link ecu so it\'s pretty well worth it. Il wait till I actually do get it an pull the motor out, then start looking at my options.

seen used to be ex chosenfew car was stolen and recovered minus alot of parts this was 2005 or around then is it still purple ?

i can do it as a cashy in a weekend have a full workshop hoist crane ect

must have sold the plate, its a gf8 green wagon which i have purchased. so i want to get the head gaskets done.ydragu i have pm\'d you..i have a question which head gaskets are best to use?
