WRX RA manifold and ecu

A 1994 WRX RA ECU should have the code W9 so i would imagine that possibly the 1993 WRX RA shares the same ECU as the WRX.

thats weird cos after putting it in i went for a boost round the block and got

9 psi-1st gear

11 psi-2nd

and 13 psi in 3rd

then eased into 4th

It is a desirable ECU as it will also fit into Gen1 RS perhaps you could put it on Ebay OZ.

It's an OE ECU it will have an RPM/Boost cut.

yea it boost cuts at 18psi, i have tried it before, and the rev cut i cant remember what it is, kamineko told me when i bought it but i've never hit it so it must be quite high. used to always hit the standard wrx one.

There should be a discernible difference going from a WRX ecu to an RA version; usually higher RPM and boost.

As far as the inlet is concerned there will be no performance gain there.

would it do any damage if i put it on??

even though prob no power gains??

would it just use more gas?

effectively they are the same manifold so nothing would change. would be a waste of time unless you wana paint it up first to look nice.

You'll basically be swapping one manifold for an identical one.

It's yet to be proven the 5th injector runs.

If you haven't already you could setup the RA manifold for a split fuel rail and then swap them.

yea plan on doing that fuel rail mod.

so the 5th injector is basiclly just there for looks??

does not function at all??

WRX and WRX-RA do not share the same ecu. V2 RA's have a different head setup and rev higher. the 7K spoken about above would rev to 7800~7900 with little taper in boost and pulled well with a free flowing turbo back exhaust

i'm impressed that you had the car dynoed driftwrx :) something i never managed to do with that ecu

Kamineko, Driftrex i believe made that power through the rear wheels.

correct, also running td05 sti turbo, but had some restrictive factors, eg factory intake, factory tiny topmount, catylic convertor lol. all to be changed very soon tho.

so according to this the ecu i have just gotten is a std gc8 ecu???

do the gc8 ecu have higher boost/rpm levels than the gf8 ecu??

as both mine (boost/rpm levels) have raised

it could be chipped, open it and have a look

exhaust mods will change your factory boost. most 'this ecu boosts xx psi' quotes are pretty irrelevant

how will i know if its chipped??

or will it be obvious once opened?

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
