BP/BL Brembos

Got a couple of questions re brembos on the BP/BL legacy\'s;

Does anyone know if they fit under the standard 18" 10-spoke alloys for the pre-facelift Spec B\'s without spacers? I didn\'t think they did until I saw this:

(Nice looking car that)

Also, would the factory brembo kit require cert if fitted to one that originally came with the standard 2-pots? The kit is designed for the car and doesn\'t require brackets etc, so thinking probably not. (Realise this would probably be better in the legal forum but didn\'t want to start two threads).

fronts fit but rears require adaptors. The only model that would bolt on with be the STI models that have them on from factory which are rare. As we as adaptors you would have to have a modified hand brake shoee. I used to have this setup on my BLE but have gone back to factory setup as i wasnt using all the stopping power of the brakes.

And no they wont clear without spacers. only ones that will is V7 rims and the 8 spoke STI rims and lots of aftermarket.

I say they look cool but unless you really need to stop then get some good pads

Cheers. I had thought that perhaps the factory kit would bolt up without adapters etc (or include required modified parts to render them unnecessary) but obviously not.

I\'ve had this kit on my wishlist for a while now: (just need a lucky lotto ticket)

Yeh, the standard 2-pots on the spec b\'s pull it up pretty darn quickly if you really stand on them - the just don\'t have quite the \'visual\' stopping power of the brembo\'s :)

Did your BLE need LVV cert for them? (also do you still have them/are they for sale?)

Yeh don\'t have any real reason to go to the brembos apart from the awesome factor.

Unfortunately anything that gets anywhere near needing LVV cert puts it out of the picture - it\'s expensive enough as it is getting full insurance on one of these for a 22y/o male :(

Thanks for the info though - might be something to revisit when 25.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

      Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
