What series is my B4

hi, i have a 1999 Subaru Legacy B4, after a second hand Secondary turbo to replace my blown one, What series would my B4 be, so i can get the correct part

yea its harder to see than you think on TT - may need mirror on a stick anda torch to see turbo number

but any secondary will do (bolt on) 26/27 was/is regarded as best (flow/power I dont know) combo

get a VF27 if you can (I suspect its the 26 which provides most of the gains)

bah mine was scared of my car but I taught her to drive in it in the end "L" plate and all

only fast/dangerous if you put your foot down like and weapon er... car

but yea - any secondary on that list will do out of 27/32 and there was another cant think off top of my head

14/19 are older (pre 98) and dont even look at them

is there any guides on how to take the turbo off so i can replace it, I done Skyline turbos but they look alot easier than subaru's. First time working on them, so i a little bit nervous

what he means is just Primary seconardy turbo combinations (primary secondary).

The earlier shapes used the VF18/VF19 combo (primary/secondary), the later models like yours should have a VF25(26)/VF27(32) (Primary/secondary).

I think they came out in pairs, ie. if you had a 25 primary you always had a 27 secondary , and if you got a 26 primary you got the 32 secondary.

In your case the 27 or 32 shoul dboth bolt up just fine and you wudnt notice power difference either way as they are both secondary turbo chargers on the TT system, hell even the older 19 wud fit but they are not the best - power loss in doing this.

Joker - given the secondary is poked he has to take it out regardless therefore looking at what the numbers are will be nice and easy ;)

i had car at garage and they siad nothing wrong with any air leaks with narror it down to the turbo. The mechanic isnt to switched on aobut turbo cars but said he couldnt see anything wrong with the turbo, maybe the seal have gone, but then my car doesnt blow any smoke, the turbo just doesnt pick up over 4k revs, is this a sign of the seals??

you have two threads going on about this now - try to stick to just one thread (makes people pissy), have you checked for faults? Take it to a subbie mechanic, you jsut said the guy doesnt know much about turbo cars... hence i wouldnt be letting him with in a bulls roar or mine or yours for that matter.

this mechanic i get done for free, so was trying to see if he can work out the problem. i guess turbo will be coming out this weekend

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
