Plasti Dip

Has anyone tried it? I tried giving the forum a search and couldn\'t come up with much.

It doesn\'t seem to be widely available in NZ but from what I\'ve seen seems to come out looking pretty good, and reversible!

Asking as I\'m thinking of plasti-dipping my hood and was wondering if others had done it themselves / had it done, or if you\'ve got any tips!

Spray it on thick and 3-4 layers or it a right f$%^& c*nt to peel off. Other than that its all good.

I plastidipped a pair of wheels recently.

So much better than normal paint to work with. I didn\'t use the metalizer or the glossifier on mine so just a very matte finish.

Wash the surface up, couple light coats to get it started then go nuts.

As above make sure it\'s thick so you can peel it off

Finish was perfect, no runs, all even, it\'s fantastic stuff

Nice, was thinking of doing rims as well, but it can all add up to being quite expensive!

What do you guys think of vinyl wrapping as well? I\'m also considering it as it can give a better gloss finish, I\'m just worried about the hood scoop and how that would be done!

I didn\'t hunt around just bought it off trademe through platinum wheels think it was 40-50 delivered? Save money in not needing sand paper and primer and the extra time/effort
