Yes, the owners did the dodgy runner...

As to not making any money, we were doing ok; had orders for over $10,000 worth of carbon, and plenty of customers, but mismanagement of company funds was a major problem...

And, no, the workers don't have a leg to stand on as the (Chinese) owners don't honour any of NZ's labour laws (come to think of it, any laws at all...).

Thousands of dollars in wages still owed, not to mention all the equipment on loan from places like Castrol which was taken also...

I hear they may still be trading out of some warehouse somewhere...

It's a bloody pity, it was an excellent shop. Always found the staff and service to be fantastic, as with the deals. My parents even liked to go there to get their Hondas checked out, and given the thumbs-up But it was definitely the staff and deals that made the place what it was. The stuffed foundations management-wise is often what kills these businesses.
