Legacy GTB wheel width ?

Hi Guys

I want to get some new shoes for my Legacy GTB wagon

Looking at some Rota PWR rims but they are only available in 8.5" wide (offset of +40 or +44)

Is this too wide for this car ? I\'m running standard sussy so not lowered. (at the moment will be)

Would rather not roll the guards if I could

Thanks

Thanks for the replies.

Its a GT-B 2003 E-tune which i think is a BH. (new to the scene)

I dont really want to roll guards and get into to much trouble with rubbing maybe ill just try and find some nice 8" wide.

or even stick with standard size rim in 17"...

You usually get rubbing at the front of the rear wheels first so rolling won\'t be a major. I have 225/40/18s on 18x7.5 +45 wheels and I have a tiny rub at the back, I just need to roll it in a bit.

215/45/18 on a 45-50 offset rim should be fine.

7.5 or 8" wide rim would be perfect for that tyre.

They are different chassis so yes

I had rubbing at the back and front with 225/18s and lowish ride height, but bear in mind guard rolling is quite cheap and not a major thing to get done

Dont get fixated on wheel width numbers, nobody can read the inside of the mag when you drive past. 7.5 wide will fill the arches to a "it looks fine" standard, going wider you can achieve the same look by going to a wider offset instead

To be fair im very picky and even just a hint of chh chh scraping will piss me off, some people on the other hand seem to get aroused by it

On a side note what do you mean by running sussy? Big wheels with no low is a bit of a fashion crime haha

yeah I really am a bit like you, dont want any rub

Thanks for the info. Yeah i think ill try and get some thinner rims and play with the offset..thanks

At the moment its stock suspension, if i get new wheels I will defiantly lower the car :) otherwise as you say will look ugly as...

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
