Wiring loom for 1990 legacy

hi i have a 1992 gt legacy wagon, single turbo, 5 speed manual, i would like to put the motor and gearbox into a 1990 sedan gt, my question is, do i need to get the main motor loom for a 1990 motor and would this fit my motor from the 92 legacy, i have noticed the main car wiring loom plugs are a bit different.

take everything out of the 92 and put it into the 90.

You mran take the every bit of wiring out of the 92 and exchange it to the 90 lol that would be a bit of a mission wouldnt it.

sorry, do you mean for me to swap all the wiring from the car that runs from inside to outside, and change them over, because that would be a hell of a job.

as it sounds like that these are both first gen cars the engines should just swap straight over...

AFAIK the looms were the same/very similiar thru to the introduction of the TT in late 93

Most of the wiring is the same apart from the plugs that plug into the engine loom,

if that is the case then remove the engine loom from the original and fit it to the replacement should be easy(famous last words)

Um yea that would have worked, but the sedan didnt come with a motor lol

u could get one off trademe pretty cheap. i had to swap my loom over when i put my engine in because it was cut. its a tight fit getting the plugs through the intake manifold but its still less hassle than taking it off and replacing gaskets
