Boost cutting/jerking under boost - coilpacks?

Got a forester with a V4 sti motor and when giving it the jandal it seems to jerk like the boost is cutting then coming back on quickly. Basically only does it under load e.g boosting it, planting it in 3rd gear when cars going 20kmh.

From what i know about nissans is that its mostly due to the old coilpacks. Just thought id double check that thats what is could be and also any place inparticular i can get some new ones?

Would you guys recommend new or secondhand?

Cheers

I had the same issue, was just a dodgy ht lead.

and i always recommend new.

Would it be best to test the HT Leads for resistance or is it only when its under load that the leads become faulty?

Where would you recommend getting new parts from? Not much on trademe in the ways of coilpacks or ht leads so was thinking Supercheap auto for Boch leads

Well on closer inspection i dont have coilpacks! Haha so just gonna replace the HT leads, anyone recommend a place that sells 8.0mm leads?

Supercheap sell Bosch replacements which Thorpy on here used on his V4 STi Coup which got around 210kw on a dyno.

I would replace spark plugs before going straight for leads.

For my V7 WRX I use BKR6E plugs (some people won't like this/say they're the wrong ones) but they work for me. Do some research and make your own decision on which ones you want to get, just make sure they're gapped to around 0.8mm.

If you go for copper plugs like me, you could fix the issue for $24 vs the price of new leads.

I recently bought some NGK BKR6EIX from Ebay for under $70 landed. Took about a week tops.

Only downside for coppers is that you have to change them more regularly compared to Iridium/Platinum/Laser Platinum

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
