GC8 front end links

Hi guys,

Am looking to upgrade to a whiteline front 22mm sway bar and end links. Which end links do I need, KLC32 or KLC139??

Car is '98 WRX, on stock suspension (which I might upgrade in future). I believe it also has alloy arms, but am away from car and can not check.

Dumb question time: Wha is the purpose of these end links? Is it just a part which has a habit of breaking or is there a benefit to buying fancy ones

Assists with corner weighting?

Makes a car that's already prone to sudden understeer even more prone to sudden understeer?

Pretty much. The solid ones will make the swaybar engage/tension earlier in travel. I have the ball joint type links, so my bar can slide sideways slightly under light load before it starts to tension.

Yeah, the STi ones seem to commonly develop quite a lot of play over time. I got failed on a WOF for it. I foolishly sprung for the Whiteline ones when, as Rosssub (and shortly after I bought mine, DacerX) pointed out, there are almost identical products for a quarter of the price. The adjustability simply lets you get the ARB closer to horizontal at rest and, as Boon said, allows you to reduce/remove any ARB preload after corner weighting.

Cheers for the advice. I'll have a look into the cheaper links. Assume they are up to same standard/quality/job of whiteline ones??

Yip. I've been running mine for over 25,000kms, still mint. Now with the same links and a Whiteline 20mm rear bar with no issues.
