Springs

I am thinking of putting lowering springs on my car, would it be fine to get second hand springs? 

Will the springs from early to mid 2000's legacy's fit the struts in my impreza?

Devils advocate checking in - Don't spend money doing up a N/A Impreza. Keep the money in your pocket and spend it on a car you plan on owning for a while.

If you lower your stock-as-a-rock Impreza, you achieve the following:

-Probably worse handling, Subaru knew what they were doing when they set up the stock geometry and the damping of the stock struts

-Decreased resale value, realistically it's going to be a put-off for a lot of potential buyers

-Massively increased insurance premiums - if you tell them it's lowered they will immediately assume you're a boy-racer and double your excess and premiums. Or you could not tell them about it, then if/when you stack it they won't pay out

-People will roll their eyes the same way as when you see a N/A Lancer with a wing or a Toyota Ist with a big exhaust.

Okay, thats fair enough, might do more research on it.
