Twin turbo legacy

Hi, i was wondering is it possible to remove a twin turbo from a legacy b4 year 99, i would still need the car to run perfectly, is it possible to remove and is there anywhere I can read up about it?

Do you mean removing the 2 turbos and running without them (naturally aspirated).

Yes. You can buy a Legacy B4 with a naturally aspirated 2 litre. There are a few on trade me at the moment.

Thats like buying a v8 and then asking if you can run it on only 4cylinders cos it has too much power, the normal thing to to would be to buy a non turbo car in the 1st place or sell and buy one

but yea no, you cannot un turbo a Turbo car in a simple nor easy manner without involving a major surgery or bursting your brain

 

"they" say Subaru's are "Lego" but its never that simple, especially if you're new to them

 

sell & start again as per the suggestions thus far, tho a RS30 might be a better start (6 Cylinder version Sedan)

If you hold the wastegate open somehow it will be non turbo...sort off..

Turbo engines are built with a low compression ratio so the can take boost..

If you run without boost you have a low performance engine..
