VF8 installation question

So looking to swap back in a VF8 into the BC5. 

My question is: The TD05 doesn't have water cooling and I'm a little stuck with where to connect the inlet and outlet connections.

There is a hose that looks like it comes off the block or head and connects  to the header tank, can I just cut this and connect to the turbo?

Google hasn't been much help.

Top port goes to the top of header tank. Bottom port goes to the head. Sounds like the 2 are connected bypassing turbo.

 

Dont bother hooking it up. Unless the td05 is borked I wouldnt bother swapping it either.

So in the end I didn't end up swapping the turbos out. Looked to be to much effort for how much time I had this weekend. Will do it at some stage when I have more time.

I had a good look into the turbo and associated hoses and it looked nice and clean in there, not oil or crud build up so happy with that. And also put some cleaner through the intercooler to clean it out also just in case as well as a new silicon joiner between the WIAC and TB.

I did forget to tighten one of the clamps, when I hit about 5psi it made a weird high pitch noise I thought was a cop starting his siren, scared the bejebus out of me till I figured out what it was.

Dont you have a Z4 Ecu? I might be wrong, but youll probably wanna change that if you go back to a VF8

 

VF8's (with the appropriate ECU) are the quickest spooling turbos ive had the pleasure of blowing up,

 

 but the TD05 (with the appropriate ECU) might take longer to spool but is more powerful IMO
