Hey

Needing to remove some tints that had been on the car for a while now... just asking before i get into it, what would the quickest and easiest way to remove them... i don't want to remove the rear window on the boot and the 2 side ones, the door ones I'm more than happy to remove (easy as)

gear a razor blade (wof sticker removal tool) and just get stuck into it, if you can get big bits off at once it means less scrubbing later on, then get some cleaner/alcohol and rub out the gluey marks

Bugger, so its going to take a while then...

this i should enjoy >:(

Thats the best way .... use and hair dryer once you have a good size of it removed you can normally pull it all off in one piece.

  • 2 weeks later...

I used and will use always is ammonia best ever.

left in the sun for however long cant member, covered with new world plastic bags at the time at a m8’s tinting shop well he worked there, can’t let it evaporate, pealed both layers GOTA GET both layers at once and yea some steel wool (fine as you can get) to get the adhesive off wile spraying more ammonia was mint

have some paper towels handy to wipe up the window, did not really explain myself as its late and want to go bed so maybe tomorrow I will fill you in

i suffered and did it the long and hard, but sure way,...

Borrowed a glass scrapper and just went at it, probably took about 30 per window in the boot (x3) and the door ones just ripped off in one piece so wasn't too bad

I used degrease on a rag and wiped the windows down, that removed all the stuff on it.

Hammer. Smash em all out then off to smith 'n smiths.

Cant believe how nice it is having a new windscreen, its SO CLEAN!!!! It felt good to screw $500 out of state insurance too

Dont listen to these fools! Take out all your windows and mission it to pickapart for some new ones 8)

Tad hard with a wagon with the boot ones ... not impossible i guess

Im not endorsing insurance fraud in any way, my windscreen genuinely had a big ol' stonechup that developed into a crack. All im suggesting is following some logging trucks down an unsealed road with various degrees of slide on.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
