Rally of Whitby

Recommended Posts

Yeah, no idea how he did it. I mean, coming *up* the hill. And no skid marks either. First impressions are maybe he was hanging it out up the hill and couldn't correct it properly.

The front left wheel is completely off camber, so that's why I thought it safer to flat bed.

The wheels are, ummm, lightweight Sprint Harts I think.

holy crap... how that didnt end up further over the edge...

must been trying hard to get it where it ended up going up hill and all...

any idea of damage, looks like an chance for losts that cant be seen by the naked eye...

hope its not to bad

oh - and did the driver get slapped by the cops?

hard to see from here but unless Alcohol (or any 'other' substance') there wouldn't be much the cops would be able to sting him for - unless speed was a factor?

I watch too much Motorway Patrol

either way hopefully not and lesson learnt (the hard way) are you still speaking to him?

It was a close call for sure. There were a raft of people who stopped down the bottom to take pics. And a couple more cop cars that just stopped down the bottom to take pics and drove off.

The copper was a lovely young lady. Really helpful and all. Didn't really say too much about the blame, though I suspect she'll get back to the driver with some sort of "careless driving", "dangerous driving", "I'm a damn muppet driving" charge.

And yep, DCCD was wound to the back, so maybe he expected it to go more like a normal 4WD car than the 2WD way it did ?

Nah, there definitely wasn't any alcohol or other substance involved, I wouldn't let myself or anyone near my car. Maybe he was going a "bit fast up the hill" she said, but not over the speed limit maybe.

Yeah, need to talk to him as he's gotta pay for it to get fixed.

Ive often wondered about the consequences of that drop going downhill..but not uphill ffs.. Thru the "chicane" off SH58 at speed I guess and then no control from there as he went up the hill on boost. I drive it everyday to work..mostly in the Prado. Lucky there were or dog walkers or bikers.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
