APEXI POWER FC VS LINK G4

im not looking at running anything hardout just want the car running its best

i can get my hands on acheap apexi controller about 800 with hand controller the links going to cost me way more are there any main diffeences

i like the fact the APEXI has a rev limiter i was told the link has one too but agin got to paymor emoney to have the option added in?

general thoughts?

you dont have to pay more money to have the limiter added in lol. link g4 is best, made in nz with the support in chch to back it up. they get sold all around the world for a reason man,

Depends what your ultimate goal is really. The Power FC does a decent job of making good power and its main limitation is that it still uses the factory AFM. The Link G4 is a whole nother level ahead which will be adequate for pretty much anything you want to do with the car in the future.

both ecus will do a good job at helping the car run better but some people may say go for the power fc but keep in mind its 15-20 year old hardware and the software is almost as old, as said above power fc in most cases has to retain the afm where as link has away with it and many other sensors, i was looking into the piggyback-powerfc-link ecu things few months back and settled with v3/4 plugin link and havent regretted it

Mate thats not cheap lol, keep an eye they come up for $300-$500 quite often. If I was looking at $800 I personally would just save up more and go for the g4 link or wait for a g3 link etc to come up.

I run an apexi pfc and in it did the trick in the past, but will be changing this eventually to a Link g4. Just gives far more flexibiltity and can remove the likes of the AFM... One less thing that can fail on the track.

Agreed i bought a powerfc to use but ended up selling and buying a G4.

Main diff is the link dont use afm also has motorsport features such as launch control, flat shifting etc etc that i dont think apexi will...

As said above link g4 is only a year or so old where as power fc is very old technology now....

Or buy a 2nd hand g3 and they can be upgraded to g4 specs for very cheap...They are essentially hte same ecu just a differnt case..

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
