Technical Doubts.....

hey guys and girls i am not much of a subaru wizzz but jst wanting to find out more info about differnet aspects of subaru ... ???

my first doubt is what is the difference between a green sticker , orange sticker and a purple sticker air flow meters.....? ???

The green ones are were an improved version of the ones that came factory fitted to MY99 & MY00 models which were notoriously weak. The other colours purple & i'm not sure i think my car had an orange one from the factory to start with and i replaced it with green one its been all good since.

not as far as I have learned from the internets

Orange are V3-V4 sti and GTB and you should stick with the same colour sticker every time

BUT with the above info I have doubts now too?

so which ones are rated best? if we had to put them in the order of least best till best would it be green - purple - orange?

cause strangly enuf i have a purple air flow meter in mine....... not sure if thats good or not for my car and if it does improve performance?

I know that for MY99 & MY00 model they changed from hot wire type which had been in previous models to film type elements in the AFM. The hot wires in earlier WRX's & STi's were much less prone to failure. I'd just check with Subaru and see which ones are right for your car.

it there much difference between a version 2 and 3 injectors compared to version 4 5 6 injectors? i presently have grey injectors on my wrx..... looking for a good upgrade for them .....

also how much power can a wrx engine handle . i understand that STI would handle lot more mods than a wrx engine would but yea looking to modify my wrx engine as tidyly as possible with out blowing it up lol....

well for a start , v3 and v4 injectors are the same, they are yellow 440cc,

and v5 / 6 are the same, and also 440cc (yellow). I think 3/4 and 5/6 are different though in shape or size (can be corrected).

greys are 380cc and came on the V1 / 2 STI

just a question that would a full exhaust system off a 92 legacy gt wagon fiit a 98 wrx wagon? will it required much modification?

The BF5 exhaust will be slightly longer than the GF8.

but would the tunnel pattern be the same or will i need to modify it too or do i jst need to make it shorter and hook it straight on?

strait bolt on!

only thing may be 1 rear support braket but some force in and it will be sweet

GC exhaust fits a BC5 - just needed a couple inches chopped off and some new hangers
