well after towing my legacy about 200km. it apears the gear box is totaly shagged. its a shame i went for a spin before i hooked it up and it went so well. towed it away and then when i went to drive it. well it was as if it was jammed in park no matter were you moved the auto selector. then i get told not to ever tow an auto. am i looking at a replace ment or can it be fixed.. my thoughts are it is totaly shagged. right now after some perswasion the car is jammed in 3rd

Towed my old GT 350km at 110kph. It was well shagged by the end of that. Went backwards in park, made grinding noises in D and just seized up in any other gear. Clutches get roasted as the ATF fluid isnt being pumped around when the engine is off.

My thoughts were correct. I were towing it as I had sold it and had it on an A frame to deliver to the buyer (had a trailer sorted untill the last minute as well). after arriving at there place and finding that the box was shagged I hooked it back up and turned back around, with a thud and a skid i were on my way. I guess luckly for me the person buying it still wants it after i find a new box. never again will i buy another twin turbo. mind you I most likly ended up fixing everything possable on this car and wouldnt of had any more problems. but after afew problems and a pocket full of $ i'v had enough of twin turbos. gee i feel sorry for series 6/7 RX7 owners

yup it would have seized as autos need to have engine running to circulate the oil that is used to lubricate all the bits and pieces :(

some where i read subarus (ALL) should be either trailered or if flat towed then <30km @ <30km/hr

issac\nzkaosnz A framed his wrx from aucks to manfeild and back at more than 30km\hr and it seemed to be fine at manfeild at least....

Negative, my auto was still lunched even with the engine idling for most of the trip. It helps, but unless youve got the RPMs up - the clutches and bearings still roast as oil flow isnt great enough at idle

O ok. I think this is just karma for buying as auto ;D Best solution is to buy a manual in the first place ;)

Manual. And *slightly* more than 30km ;) the commodore was soooo slow up vinegar hill aye jas/craig ;)

Manuals are fine - the oil is circulated by the gearset turning, which happens with towing (same as maori overdrive/coasting in neutral)

Autos are lubricated by the fluid pumped around with the torque converter, and if engine not running - no lubrication.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
