DCCD center diff swap

Is it possible to swap a dccd center diff into a non dccd gearbox? As i have a dccd gearbox in my car at the moment, but im not a fan of the close ratio. So i would like to buy a normal ratio gearbox and put my center diff into it. Its a TY752 gearbox, if i can would i be able to put it into a TY754 series gearbox?

I'm pretty sure the rear sections of the geabox can be swapped. I'm using a TY752 centre diff on a TY755 gearbox although I modified the TY755 centre diff housing to take an earlier diff just because they're easier to install/removal. I checked and the TY752 centre diff housing would bolt straight up to the late model gearbox.

the 754 dccd boxes came with 752 dccd transfer case should it should be a straight swap

Na in your case it should just be a line up and bolt together job. No trickier than putting the box together normally.

i used a ver 6 sti gearbox with a ver4 type r dccd unit. make sure that you ussing all the same ratio, 4.444

so in my 99 B4 a dccd centre diff and matching r180 rear diff would work?

or would i still need to make sure its the right ratios?

As long as the DCCD has a 1:1 ratio (which I think they do) then you could bolt it onto your gearbox and not need to change the rear diff at all. Only the R180 is preferable as the DCCD can send alot more torque through it than your normal centre diff ever would.
