I bought another 92 RS legacy a few months back with no reg or wof for cheap now starting to work on it to get it up2 WOF standard.

I have noticed that one of the studs on the exhaust housing has snapped while the last owner fitted a bigger downpipe. I was wanting to go for my WOF today but before I did wanted to know if I can fail on that snapped stud?.

If I can get the WOF for it then that'l be one worry down the drain before I start pulling the turbo off to try fix the stud hopefully not snapping any others along the way.

i think thats a fail there, especially if its leaking is visible.

but then again it depends on the guy doin the check

yeah the place I go to is quite fussy...I was worried about it leaking I have just noticed it now (snapped stud) after driving it a few times before and there isn't any visible leakage or black sh!t coming out.

no fail unless leaking, take it through VTNZ, they tend to care only about the way its supposed to be (all my cars go through VTNZ with no issues)
