Link G3 Boost control question

hey all, am at my wits end trying to figure out how to wire up the apexi AVCR I have as it seems to have a totally different loom from the one on the apexi website. my question is- Will I be able to just use the Apexi Boost Control Solenoid I have and wire it to the factory boost control wires and use my link hand controller to control boost? ie: will the link ecu use the Apexi solenoid in place of the factory one?

you can use any solenoid, they all do the same thing..

also a g3 doesnt have a hand controller. and why would you want to use the apexi boost controller when the g3 controls boost anyway? arguably the apexi controller as a couple of extra clever features but you dont need them...

i would sell the apexi, make $500, and use an oem 3 port solenoid

well in that case i'd try get the apexi controller working, it will do a much better job

Can you not still control the bost through those? The AVCrs are a bastard to set up, should sell it while you can still get 500 bucks.

way i see it, the link should definatelyy be able to control boost, even a factory ecu does to a certain degree, and the hand controller has boost control on it, just thought that the apexi solenoid would allow higher boost levels etc than the factory one

solenoid has nothing to do with how much boost you can run. the g1 and earlier links were pretty **** at controlling boost. i would use anything else instead.

if you are having trouble with not enough boost try using a restrictor pill in the vac line coming off the compressor cover

but an avcr has no toubles
