Well if it didn't work it wouldn't run, which it does. I just lost patience with the hard starting and leaning out under boost.

I priced up Bosch HEC-716 Coils at a trade price and it was gonna cost about $70 each, so that put me off the idea of the Bosch conversion I just cant justify that when thats the cost of entry fee and fuel for a gravel sprint.

they can be had cheaper, hell ive seen them at super cheap for $76, also id go for the the 715? coils as they have the more common female terminal, easyer to get leads for. if you actually have a problem with ur bc having random misses under boost/failing coils id do the conversion you wont look back

Interesting, thanks for that.

I dont have random problems - they sadly are very regular and repeatable. Wind the power up over 210kw on the dyno and it starts to quickly cut out part way through the revs. Also when competing at slow speed events (ie mostly 1st and 2nd gear stuff) it overheats the coils and starts to cut out under boost if you give it sh*t for too long

i would expect damage to the igniter if you tied the outputs that way. check its not getting hot

Na not hot at all..In all about 3/4 of an hour of thrashing and ripping around and it was still cool to the touch.

Yeah good.. Revs clean and feels nicer throught the revs..

Still have a very slight miss at just under 7k rpm but i think that is either plug gap too small or my ecu playing around..

A few more tweeks and finish up my adaptor harness next week and we will see how it goes on a long run..

What does the 12v go to from the coil? Where do I attach it?

I attached it to a switched 12v on the main loom...
