Ok have finaly got my exhaust linked up but when i got home i noticed im spraying oil all over the brake booster/clutch master cylander and all over the ds axel/side of gearbox! oils evan sitting ontop of the turbo... Its a td04 turbo would this posible be the oil return? its definitly not the feed line and i cant see were else it would be coming from only happens when under boost. is a bf5 legacy wagon

Ok i took the turbo off today and it was leaking between the oil return fitting that bolts onto the turbo... ive replaced this and got the surfaces smooth and put a genuine gasket back in!. the only problem is its still leaking from some were i dont know were tho? there is oil sprayed all over the place and i have no idea were its coming from? whats the chances i need new banjo bolt washers on the oil feed? im planing on geting them tomorrow wen i get paid anyways but anyone got anymore ideas?

:/ yeah its alot of oil other than that the motor dont actuley leak oil! have just replaced the banjo washers and theres still oil comen out!!!!!!!!!! i got no fucking idea were from!.

What i have noticed is the pipe from turbo to bottem of inter cooler isnt sealing corectly and once u just in the revs 4.5k it starts letting air out and is blowing the oil towards the turbo! and i know there is a bit of oil in the intercooler as the last turbo blew the seals... so im starting to wonder if whats now coming out as the oil has got less now the bottem return is fixed and the banjo washers for the oil in line have been replaced so going to remove the ic again and fill with petrol to try and flush it again have done it befor not with petrol tho... Also could the seal arround were the turbo housing goes onto the cast part on the td04 have a blown seal there? If i pressure the turbo's oil lines by blocking one and blowing in the other should it pressure up? as when i did that it was definitly letting presure out some were.

long shot but is your dip stick for your gear box all the way down fully?

i wonderd that... but it just wont go down anymore! but looking up from under the car u can see that the inside of the cap isnt touching the top of the tube. it sorta just sits over it covering it... is this correct or somen wrong wid the dip stick

Are you SURE the oil feed isn't split, as they are quite fragile and ya gota bend it outa the way when removing the turbo and this can happen then. There is a LOT of oil there and looks like its squirting out under pressure by how far it has gone

Let it cool down then wash it with a bit of petrol followed by a good hosing with water. Then start the motor and run it for about thirty seconds and turn it off and see if you can see where it's coming from. If it isn't leaking after thirty seconds leave it idling and have a good look for leaks, then if you haven't found it rev it a little while you watch, if that still doesn't show what it is go for a SHORT drive, like two minutes worth then pop the bonnet and have a look. Use a light and mirror to look underneath as well.

ive been degreasing the engine bay befor every test run and by time im 20 mtrs up the road its everywere im at a loss as to were its coming from.. wonder if the oil line is broken... its had a fair bit of pushing round turbo's been off 3 times now!... but to be honest the line is prity damn clean and the spray pattern is in the wrong place for it? but then again when your driving it would be falling back onto the firewall.... well ill take the oil line off tomorrow after i have a last test run as ive run out of everything to clean the current load of oil off :/

If you want to test if it is going back onto the firewall due to wind you could always jack the car up so all four wheels are off the ground (on axle stands) and then drive the car on the axle stands and put your left foot on the brake to load up the motor and produce boost. that way it will only squirt out in the direction from where it is leaking.

After the last test run it hasnt put asmuch oil out but its still smoking from arround there and oils still building up just not going right back to firewall so ive gota give it a realy good degrease tomorrow then ill take it for a drive and check it over a couple of times while im driving it. ive also put the stock bov back on as the one the car come with is leaking pressure. pos

There was oil in the bend that goes down into the turbo not much but all the pipes are a bit oily as the last motor that the pipes were attached to had stuffed oil seals in the turbo. and the ic has a bit of oil in it still witch im going to clean tomorrow!. the turbo looked prity damn good. boosts very well. nothing has been modifyed just put a new engine into the shell.. the oil is at right level

is there any oil inside the downpipe?

nope was nice and clean except for some soot as to be expected lol, oil seems to be 99% gone now!!! so think i finaly got it just needs a damn good clean but took it for a 20min run and its burnt what was on the exhaust off and its fairly clean now!

Cant see the pic, but if you didnt replace the copper crush washers on the oil feed line my moneys on that.

When i swapped out my turbos, i didnt replace the washers and while oil wasn't spraying over the engine, after boosting smoke would POUR out of the bonnet like the car was on fire.

Replacing crush washers completely solved it.

Edit: I see now you've done that lol.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
