i got 2004 gt 5spd bl. from auckland 2 wellington on full tank 98 i got just ova 800km and no ECO button WASNT on. no bs. was quite suprisd. it used 2 have a twinscroll TD04 but have since changed 2 VF37 and got slightly lower milage. around 700km+

my mate auto 2005 gtb bp gets around 600km doing the same trip! hope that helps

I take it the triptronic models have the same power output as the autos?

I did the hamilton runto wellies and did 550k and had a quarter tank left... Computer said 10.8 k/l

Two adults, two kids in car seats and a boot full of stuff... Eco button on

95 octane...

Ive got an 04 bp5a gt (jdm) auto

Lots of stops and quite a few full throttle overtaking manuvas

In the ol bg5 gtb id be looking at filling up in levin or some times foxton...

Hey, I've got question about 2005 B4 Subaru Legacy 3.0 R. Why it goes only up to 180 Km/h with nearly 250 Hp and 8000 RPM on the clock. With perfomance like this, where all the power is going? Not I need fly with 250km/h, but what would be an explanation for my question?

Are you refering to the speedo only going up to 180? Just the choice they made. A suprising amount of research goes into what they show on the dials for each car but at the end of the day it doesn't mean much. Redlines at 7000rpm so you would hit the rev limiter at around 7200, won't make it all the way to 8k anyway. And if you really went for it, not telling you to, you'd get probably a fair bit further than 180km/h

Japanese-market vehicles of the time had speedos that went up no higher than 180km/hr, as this was the legally governed maximum speed of the vehicle. Some models, like the various STI versions, and non-JDM models (including NZ new models) got speedos that went higher (eg. 260km/hr speedo), but were still limited to ~180km/hr top speed without tinkering with the ECU. The speedo is still the easiest way to tell at a glance whether a Legacy is a JDM import or NZ new.
