2005 NZ New Legacy Specifications

GC8E2DD

Recommended Posts

I figured I would start transcribing specifications out of the manual. I will do them as they are written, without editing. It probably applies to models a year either side (possibly even 2003->2006), and includes all models of wagon and sedan. Please excuse the verbosity and redundancy - the forum doesn't seem to support colspans in its little pseudo html language. So first up;

Hey, do you have the specs on the MY05 Legacy GT Blitzen model, picked one up recently but there doesn't seem to be a lot info about them anywhere.

Good ****. But i can't believe my eyes.

1360KG for the 2.0R, and 1450KG for the GTB!? That's lighter than the BG's, and the 08+ STi's!

Car brochures are generally optimistic about curb weight - they 'engineer' it towards lower weight. Rounding, weighing the prototypes, fluidless etc...

Not much data on them, as the share 05 GT components - Blitzen was a mainly an exterior and interior upgrade to the GT (and came with ugly as 17's)

Just 5 sold NZ new 3 in Auckland and 2 in Welly

I now own one of the ones from Auck and know of one other here in Welly

BG5 GT list weight is 1430kg, seen it verified (close enough) on a weighbridge.

190PS from the 2.0R is impressive, BG/BH TS-R only had 155. Yep PS is PferdeStarke, ie German (metric) horsepower.

Anyone know the fuel economy figures and 0-100km time for the BP wagon GT spec B.

The older shape legacy seems to be pretty poor I'm hoping this model has improved!

Also what extra stuff does the GT spec B have over the normal GT apart from the things I've noticed like the 18's and bodykit etc?

Seems to be hard to find specifications on this model for some reason!

thanks

I can provide real world fuel economy based on my current ownership (2007 BP legacy GT wagon - 2.0L turbo, 6 speed manual, SI drive, NZ new).

Open Road economy:

2010 xmas run Auck-Wellington, 2 adults 2 kiddies, full boot, no racks. BP Ultimate 98. Air-con on full auto all the way, 105-110kph on open roads. No Hooning. SI drive set on Intelligent (most economical setting) switching to Sport Sharp to overtake or haul up big hills. Achieving 8.6L/100km.

Around Town (mix of motorway and inner city driving):

Anywhere from 10-12L/100km upwards depending on weight of foot.

Don't know official figures - imagine a google search will reveal. Do have Wheels Oct 2006 article on the 2.5L GT turbo auto where they achieved a test average of 13.5L/100km.

Would suggest if you get a facelift BP with 2.0L turbo that you run it on 98. Mine was not so happy on 95RON, kept cutting back the timing under load, causing lots of hesitation in the power delivery. Thought the plugs were stuffed or worse! Running 98 fixed it. Not sure if same problem with pre-facelift BP turbos.

Hope that helps.

Ours doesn't like 95 much either. And curiously, 8.6l/100kms is almost exactly the best I have managed with a similar load doing Auckland to Dunedin and back (5 speed manual). We don't have SI Drive, but it does have an 'Eco' button beneath and to the left of the steering wheel. I don't know how it works, some ECU jiggery pokery I suspect, but the difference in throttle response is very noticeable.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
