Bloody possums!

ran down a possum last week on trig road it didnt do any damage to the front kit thank god but herd it hit the exhaust which would killed the f#### i hope

You'd hope, they are apparently resiliant little ****ers. I went back to the scene today to see if i could find my spotlight, but it was goneskies. i can only assume it had been swept away over the day, SH16 is still a fairly busy road. And the possum, no sign of it! F*knows where he went, but getting blindsided at 80kph surely is not something they can walk away from.

I seriously doubt it would have survived a full impact at 80k...most animals won't Especially something kittor-sized.

Gawh, you'd HOPE it'd get 'em.

BAH! Thats not possum damage. I split my front skirt, smashed the tow hook cover off, ripped the foglight mount out and crazed all the paint on that corner of the bumper.

But I wasnt doing 100....and im a bit lower.

The damage varies allot. I hit one at 120 a few weeks prior, and all it did was blow a bulb and knock the mesh out. This one i hit 40K slower, and much the same damage, except i'm missing a fog light... : The 120k pussum was sitting upright looking down the road, where as the 80k one was walking accross it, so had maximum impact area

Mate my wagon done this too, I had my pannel beater fix it up real good, aparantly there's a few wee bars or something in there that get bent if someone pushes on the bumper, but mines as good as new now so there's probly hope for you geting your's fixed

possums suck ae... I used to try and hit them in my Surf and Jeep, haven't come across one in the Subie yet. Did manage to hit one on Christmas Eve on the way from Chch to Methven on the motorcycle, surprisingly just went straight through it, felt exactly like a small speed bump. no damage! I was lucky.

worst ive had is a hawk dropping down from outta no where at 100kmh somewhere past Helensville, scared the crap outta me

hit a bunny or 7 up north in my mates integra with aftermarket front kit, scooped all of them up and over the car, was rather hilarious
