  3. Something is slightly potato there, that's about the same as my Holset spools and it's way, way bigger than a VF30. I just have this odd feeling that you're going to bolt on turbo xyz and it will make 190kw again. EDIT: Unlesssss your VF30 has a huge crack in the wastegate port that's leaking a whole lot of gas past the turbine. All VF30s crack there, many just have a hairline while others end up with the grand canyon. Worth a look.

  4. Checked mine and GRB is on the list to be done. so nz website didn't list it but is on Japanese one so time to go get a bunch of rattles put into the dash. also my translation is different but it's all about that note. [Caution for car not yet implemented] Although you can update the car inspection, please contact the nearest dealer as soon as possible to repair it.

  5. Didnt mean you specifically when I said most people. Yeah I get that. Prolly just a cylinder/ring thats causing that issue, you said to get it rebuilt/freshened up which is fine but I rather not do that unless it costs nothing or NEEDS a rebuild. Why not just get bigger turbo and and if I make 210 then cool, It would probably die sooner but then do a rebuild and make way more power on new engine. I dont wanna rebuild a 'good' engine. Tuner suggested that to me actually.

  6. Nope, he doesn't have a link and you can't tune the stock bc5 ecu (chips don't count irl imo ) so he decided not to, now it just lives in my garage amoungst the other parts, wrapped in gladwrap, sitting, waiting to be installed

  7. Different strokes for different folks however I won't be going back to a vf anythang Yes stock locatipn Cant remember your dyno results but the td05 in my shed would get you to 220kw easy .Good bolt on and tune mod I guess

  8. Wow that's slow. later model stock twinscroll hits ~22psi at 3500rpm, ok so it's down to 20psi by 5500rpm but still that's over 200wkw for 2500rpm. It's 160wkw at that 3500 rpm mark so it feels quick.

  9. lol thats quicker spool than my VF30. 22.6psi at 4650. Was your Td05 Kinugawa stock location and would you recommend one over a vf considering the cost.

  10. The v7 on- sedan has a longer inner rack end to suit the wider track width. If you coupe is still factory track width then the normal v7 sti rack end will probably be too long. I would say you will need a wrx or sti wagon rack end as they are shorter. the only thing I don't know is if classics and v7 have the same outer thread so you should double check that. The wrx wagon and sti sedan all use the same inner and outer thread. (At least in v7 they do) As Boon discovered years ago, make sure to order the lock washers too as it is not included and is often damaged when you remove the rack end. 34160FE000 is the part # for the stock v7 sti rack end that will probably be too long. Typed on mobile in a hurry, hope it made sense.

  11. My td05 20g didnt fully spool untill 4200 iirc, maybe something to do with my super low compression ratio? 7.8:1 i think, dunno but this time round cam timing is different and different headers and w/g setup so hopefully all goes good

  12. I got for 2007 Legacy .. interesting that it says the Passenger airbag might need replacing if not already done in japan (mine was imported 2008 so doubt it). Doesn't mention drivers airbag though?? I have to wait for a second letter to confirm that it does need doing

  13. Its the cable to get into the ecu and read everything, can look at learned tables, lots of parameters, fault codes, can even tune the car with it but I’m not ready for that haha.

  14. Oh golly, yea sorry i've been a bit busy to think about this. So much I want to do to the car before it goes near a track.. Your wagon is more capable than mine!! you have all those delicious under body things, are you going on the track? I might pull a "if you do i will" on you haha. but id be down to track a whale so meh maybe i just do it regardless. We should do a roll call and see who is actually going down from Akl, i might be more inclined to commit to FlatNats

  15. Your Garrett is pretty small in the grand scheme of things, I predict full boost in the 4's somewhere, if not earlier.

  16. Thanks. I think I prefer the Legacy to the Outback as the Outback seems too high up...A Another thing I noticed... some of the non turbo 2.5 L have one exhaust and some have 2... whats the difference? Thanks
