  1. Looking into New HID myself, thanks for sharing your experience, will check out! Edit: does this mod remove the turn indicator?
  2. Mmm, might have to relegate the forester section to be combined with the "classic" at this rate Was hoping it was your 'Foz.
  3. So envious, been looking for a proper waist spoiler for my SG9 Foz for a year with no luck. Enjoy yours!
  4. It's not how we identify the turbo, it's what the turbo identifies as. I think it might be a trans or bi turbo who identifies as a twin scroll. Or maybe even turbo-fluid. Not all turbo who identify as fluid have a turbo fluid resevoir, it's just how they feel at a particular part of the rev range. Don't judge. Edit: some of my best friends are turbos.
  5. I might try this too, cheers
  6. Soooo, I too thought it was photoshop, until I came across this video of a Supra. Could be real!?
  7. well that escalated quickly- might be the husband then!
  8. Have you removed and inspected the wife from the rear seating? Sometimes you get a "chat" sound when reversing.
  9. MCA reds are so sexy, money well spent
  10. That light bar isn't for night driving on the Bombay / Ramarama / Ararimu back-roads is it? (Looks like it would blind oncoming cars or those you're following) Great light while parked, or to switch on for long, uneven driveways.
  11. Hmmm car looks familiar, @BeastGRB spotted at Supercheap Auto near Bunnings Botany over the weekend. Looked good, much vroom!
  12. Yep, chances are the camera goes first. Either thrown or ironically taken to sell. But this means that you know your car is being stolen and you can at least call the police or get to your car if close by. Chances are you'll have the tow truck's licence plate recorded too, hopefully in the cloud app. Got to ask about that. Sigh, theft prevention is just wishful thinking anyway with a low chance of success.
  13. Keen to know thoughts on how to prevent the old "tow and dismember" tactic of car theft where an alarm doesn't help. I'm thinking of getting a dash-cam like the following: Blackvue DR650S-2CH which has front and rear to catch people who want to tow you. There is a parking battery and motion sensor so when someone tried to tow you, it records video and you can view on an app. The dash-cam also has GPS, so you can see if the car is being towed and where it is going despite the battery being disabled
  14. I often drive my wife's automatic grey Mazda Atenza wagon. Aucklander's don't seem to transform into drivers when they get into a car. They're just as knowingly dumb and aggressive when I'm in the Foz compared to the sedate wife-mobile.
  15. Roffles from 2015, this thread is great. As was evowrx's gem:
  16. https://www.facebook.com/desheleperformance/ Australian engine builders specialising in Subaru EJ's. Just... wow. Used in so many 400-600kw projects! They're engine builders so you have to chase their tuners / forums for the actual build details more often than not. Interesting to see Australian experience with EJ25's - they don't seem to be much favoured in NZ compared with the higher revving EJ20's and 22b's. [I ran a quick "all content" search here, but no results showed these guys up. I thought someone mentioned them here in a post I read earlier this year?]
  17. Cars remind me of some philosophy: "When an egg is broken from the outside, death. When an egg is broken from the inside, life." (Sadly wallets aren't as tough) Let there be life!
  18. Thanks for the replies Exciting that the car is getting an engine refresh!
  19. Informative guide, I like the Turbosmart choice - Australasian company Out of curiosity, what boost are you running?
  20. @DairusireIf I had a race car and wanted a sticker on the back: "The lines I take are fine art- too bad they're cubist"
  21. That's why they have those stickers on the back of their cars, like the "if you can read this you're losing". Street racing is similar to a joke: "if you have to explain to someone you're racing them, you're doing it wrong."
