It takes longer to get the engine oil up to temperature than you would think.. Quite a bit longer than water temp..

Sustained high revs is the enemy of your engine.. Most of us have no power up top so imposing a lower rev limit will increase the chances of driving home afterwards..

Its good that you bring your thoughts to the forum.. We all learn more when things are discussed in the open.. I think that its ok to try different springs on different struts.. As long as you put the same springs on the same axles and don't mix extreme types of springs on the car.. There wouldn't be any after market springs available if it was dodgy..

Could indicate the headers are too big to start with.. Also "bottle necks " can be used pre turbo with positive results..
