  1. Hubs dont change. The Backing plate of the S401 is whats needed for a OEM bolt up. But they would be worth more than the Car. Adaptor Plates and resized Handbrake shoes are the way. Use Search... http://www.clubsub.org.nz/forum/index.php/topic,19914.0.html Part numbers and photos included
  2. But they still arnt track cars... You look over a Ferrari 458 GT car or even a R35 GT-R GT3 car. Very standard cars, but Still have alot of things done to handle racing. (and I\'ve driven a few supercars on tracks) While they are more developed than a STi, They still are Road cars.
  3. The are sold as road cars. 22B? RA-R? road car... Even Ferraris, Lambos are sold as road cars. side note: in my current vehicle insurance, it does state "not to be used for motorsport, comps, or any driving that requires a helmet/harness type seatbelt or rollcage/rollbar to be used".
  4. +1 But I have had braided lines, and noticed a difference.
  5. I used to go over to Japan and get car parts for a part time job. Most of the Cars we wreaked had very little Kms, so little people never used to believe us when I told the Kms. Now days you can just ring up and order a Container full of engines and parts and have it sent over to you.
  6. WEll you need alot of money for the right vehicles to be an investment. But playing round with cars is a hobby/passion. Which will only cost money. I took up golf/MTB and RC cars
  7. If you read up of how the TT system works, You run "parallel" when you hit secondary anyway....
  8. Haters gona Hate. You already have owned and enjoyed one of the most sorted after Subarus there are. Some people on this forum wouldnt of even seen one in person. Life changes. I brought a Landcruiser. Lexus CT will be my next car. If I was to look at another go fast car, TBH a Merc A45 AMG.
  9. 4&5 = resale and more potential down the track (more bolt-on stuff available) Like comparing say a V6 to a V7 I suppose - similar $$ for either, later model has all the nice gear, but the looks are quite a change The EVO went backwards during the 4, slowly got better with the 5. It wasnt untill the EVO 6 that the performance really overtook the EVO 3. Wouldnt tounch an EVO 4. EVO 5 at least you get brembo\'s and better looking car.
  10. My first RS had somthing like 340K when I got it, ran ok, just used a little oil. I swapped engine out. I have seen a ADM RS legacy for sale with over 400k on it. My Blitzen did a turbo at 100k And for the old school people who remember "Coro...(cant remember full user name) who had a v8 WRX do a BEB at 30K
  11. I would look out for a nice Numbers matching EVO 3. They are a little more looked after than most other EVO\'s as they are a littler rarer and price higher to reflect that. GSR is pretty high spec interior and engine is best of First Gen EVO\'s
  12. Prius & Chrome..... 22B to Prius.... What is this I dont even... ??? Thou I would get a Lexus CT
  13. H/D clutch is all you need. A few people get the STi HD clutch kit. If you go Puck/Solid center/etc etc you just transfer to the next weakest link in your Drivetrain, The Gearbox.
  14. One of the biggest cost saver is being able to do the work yourself.
  15. The main thing is what people want for the fees they pay. Speak up Track days? Sure if everybody supports these. Meet ups? nothing wrong with organising one yourself. But Support the events that are on offer. MANZ affiliated club? This was a hot topic awhile ago. alot of pros and cons, and ultimatly do want to keep club causal or step up to a sanctioned club and events. Start some fundraising events... if people a willing to support such things.
  16. Being able to post membership cards to Australia. Stop being so cheap!!
  17. I disagree. Doing you own flow test at home with a few bits from bunnings vs. Workshop that has good correct gear and skills...
  18. For your own sake you should check and expect the muppets to appear even if the you have right of way/green lights etc etc. Ive lost 2 friends due to red light runners.
  19. "...due to faulty equipment." Due to faulty operator thrashing it without oil pressure by the looks. Impressive thou. If it was mine I would make them into a trophy.
  20. Depends on Camera.. Some new cameras are Laser sensor in which you need to be doing about Mach 1.5 to beat. You get summonds if you over 40 odd kph. Mate did 100Kph in Bulls one nite. Cops came around to house, took licence and issued summonds.
  21. Installed a GReddy EVO series cat back exhaust on my bro-in-laws V12. Very nicely made piece of gear. Just abit to loud.
