  1. But like all these classes around the world, they are going to a common chassis with your chosen Body/Engine being they only different. DTM, Nascar, even the Japan GT500 are moving into this format. People want the good old days like the Group A and Group C days to return, but wouldnt these make the Supercars into GT3 Class? Holden/ford Aussie are slowly going the way of the dodo, having their cars get kicked by other brands wont help the cause much either.
  2. whats the issue with not becoming a paid member?
  3. You can make it paid only forum.... A number of clubs in Aussie are like that.....
  4. Just put all FS/Trade section in the Payed members area. In order to post in there you gotta become a payed member which intails address/name/phone number etc etc
  5. "Goose Neck" wings are whats in. That GT-R is old skool.
  6. Its pretty win tbh. But sorta looks like the wing is on wrong way? maybe just photo
  7. ebay and Yahoo auctions Japan. Only 2 you will ever need to use.
  8. Just put your wires in some Liquidtight flexi Conduit or the like....
  9. Just remember It is a cheap sports car. They could of put nice interior and more performance into it, but then the price would go up to suit. while its no GT-R, for what it is, its a pretty good platfrom to start from. Hopefully they'll develop it more in future models/sub-models. Like the Korean Car makers, they started off nasty, now they are the pointing end. [quote name='funkytown said: as has been with all the generations of bits and bobs from subaru - they are the kings of lego cars (imo).. soooo much is plug and play across the models its no suprise what so ever you're going to find BRZ things that replicate the numbers and design of impreza / legacy stuff. Meaning that 4-pot conversion and Turbo install just got that much easier....
  10. Would be NPT from memory. Most of other threads on the engine are NPT(apart from bolt threads of course)
  11. If you high upgrade to higher wattage Bulbs its best to put a headlight relay kit in otherwise your headlight switch will burn out. Hunt the wreakers for a S/H kit from Subaru/Toyota as this is common mod in J-land.
  12. So that would be for the JDM BE5.D model then. Dont know if that is interchangable between Rev A~C models. Why couldnt these be around 6 odd years ago lol
  13. I got a set of Smaco ones from Yahoo auctions Japan(came with 3 hoses and a metal pipe). Became very handy when I upgraded the TMIC to a v8 STi one. Worth the upgrade indeed. You can also get red STi ones too, but they about $600 for the kit. Pitty you cant get any upgrade for the under manifold inlet pipe. I knew a group of aussies were trying to get Samco to make a limited run of them but never knew if it went ahead or not. (the old group buy dramas)
  14. What about added reinforcement around the area where you drill. (like welding 3mm plate around the hole)
  15. When I did my conversion on my BE, Im sure BNT had a rear disc rotor that was same as V7+ Brembos but had the smaller handbrake drum.... The Adaptor Kit I got from japan came with large rings which you would press into the brembo rotor drum to get the correct size. Also Theres a thread on a BE/BH 2pot conversion I posted some pics which show how different the BE/BH rear hubs are to the WRX hubs. EDIT* Ive got a thread from a few years ago which someone did a Conversion on a BE/BH. I'll post it up in one of these threads and you can edit to suit if you want. I dont have the pictures anymore, but still have a few pictures about the conversion.
  16. what does this even say in english? im assuming a normal twisted set up like we run with upside down FMIC under the headlights??? if thats the case then.. Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like.............................. [quote name='D-Style said: With that setup up, exhaust plusing would damage the turbo. /quote] why? like I said before. Exhaust plusing would cause a hammering effect on the turbine blades. With turbo being so close to the ports it would more than likely amplify this. Have a look around the interwebz for people that have done turbo coversions on 1 & 2 cyclinder motorbike engines and see what sort of problems they have run into. How to fix this? custom build an manifold to bring the turbos further away form the exhaust ports, add a cross over pipe between two manifolds.
  17. With the OEM turbo position, you have 4 cyclinders feeding a constant flow of exhaust gas into the turbo. With this setup, you only have 2 cyclinders feeding the turbo. so instead of a "constant" flow, you will have a plused flow. This plusing will hammer the exhaust vanes and well more than likely cause damage. Think of turning a tap on & off fast and getting the water pipes to knock and bang around. Tune wont matter. You will proly need to run a cross pipe between the 2 manifolds.
  18. No. Rev A-C is a JECS type ECU. Runs 90mm AFM etc. Rev D is DENSO type. Runs insert type 78mm odd AFM different Sensor Feeds etc etc. These are Re-Flashable.
  19. Does factory suspension that has height adjustment require a cert?
  20. I use to get mine from the local scrap dealer.
  21. I do know someone on here who just took delivery of a brand new GRB sedan. But I'll let them post up the news/pic
