MegaMeet '18 and ClubSUB 21st Birthday

Lock in your calendar May 12th and 13th.
Location - Manawatu
May 12th
Lunch at Tui HQ, $15 per person, or Subscribed members will get this for $0.10... no thats not a typo, Subscribed members will get a sweet as Tui HQ Build your own BBQ burger lunch for 10 cents!
After lunch there will be a cruise back into Palmy, where we will enjoy a spot of competitive Karting!
we have 35 spots available at $35 per person, or $20 for subscribed members...
We will likely head out for some dinner at a yet to be determined location.
May 13th
We have teamed up with our friends at Playday on Track again for a full track day at Manfield motorsport Park.
$150 per car, or Subscribed members $130.
SO, as you can see, for ClubSUB's 21st birthday, we are saying thanks to the members who have kep't us ticking along with massive discounts across the board.
Plus we will have a bunch of prizes and giveways all over the place!
now would be a good time to subscribe eh!

Hi team,
I got an email for the team at Armstrong Subaru in Lower Hutt today, seems they have a sexy new black 2018 WRX in the showroom, aswell as a brand new Levorg.
They said feel free to come down and drool over it if you wish.

So many amazing photos in this thread, but 90% of them are not valid to be used in the calendar, because the user who submitted them, hasnt emailed the full res version to [email protected]

Dropped my BP off at Subaru today... big list...
Engine oil
Oil filter
Sump plug washer
Fuel additive
Spark plugs
Differential fluid (front & rear)
Upper cylinder clean
Cam belt replacement
Water pump
Coolant
Oil pump o-ring
Front wheel bearing replacement
best part of 3k, but at least its all sorted.-

This thread was helpful in diagnosing my current issue... same sound, a wump, wump, wump from the front left hand side, the frequency for the sound increases with the speed of the wheel rotation. its hardly noticeable above 40kph.
Sending the car in for its 100,000 km service this week hopefully, so maybe they can sort the bearing too.-

Timing of the event will likely come down to when we are able to get in on a Playday. the cost of track hire and insurance is just too high for us to go it alone these days.

I think this is likely to be an event on its own, from memory they held their birthday event late 2016, so they would likely have a Dyno day later this year... Dont know how mobile their Dyno is? if at all.
Successful CS events in the past have centered around Taupo, and Manawatu.
The Megameet @Joker organised based at Camp Rangi Woods was Brilliant. and the 2 Taupo MMs i have been involved with have been met with positive feedback.-

Yup, thats right, ClubSUB is coming of age... 21 years of Subaru related chinwags, modifications, big end bearings, bent rods, events in dimly lit carparks, all night car fixing missions, Pizza nights, talking S*** and general banter.
We turn 21 in April 2018, and we want to hear from you, the members, where, when and how you would like to celebrate?
Do we hold an event and trackday in Taupo/Hampton Downs/Ruapuna/Teretonga?
Do we hold many smaller events?
How do you want to celebrate?

It was two big end bearings. The crank was not salvageable nor were the rods. Head was fine and block got a little machining. V7 Sti crank rods and pistons went in. The sump has also been extended and baffled.
Back to to the shop in a week or two for new injectors and a link.

Here we go again!
Its time to get your submissions together for the 2018 ClubSUB Calendar.
Remember anything you submit, you need to be able to supply a High Quality version, were talking full resolution... IE Not uploaded to Facebook and then saved to your phone. You must also own the rights to the image, or have written permission to use the image from the owner. Alterations to the image will be made at admin's discretion, so if you wont want your number place visible, remove it before you submit the image.
Any images submitted may also be used by ClubSUB Admin on social media.
You can upload your images to this thread if you like, but you MUST email a full resolution version to [email protected]
Entries close 1st September 2017.
Categories will be chosen once submissions close.
