  2. look up gizmo boost controler.. theres diagrams on there..
  3. the port on the front of the sol should act as the bleeder for boost.. the one opposite the one that goes to turbo goes to the top of the gate..
  4. quote myself here should i keep this kit just done some research and from what i gather il still need it with link? i run a link and a gizmo boost controler.. just looks to me like you need to plumb the boost sol into the top of the gate.. aka the port on the opposite side of the one that goes to the turbo run a line off to the top of the gate that will give you control of the boost.. at the moment you boost sol is just acting as a pass threw and your boost is bleeding out the top of the gate.. bet the spring in the gates 1bar???
  5. i did a read up on the set up a while back its not a bad idea.. i ran around for a while with the stock air/water set up i just rewired the factory pump so it runs all the time and swaped out the coolant for redline stuff.. makes sense to fit bigger cooler on the front to help keep the temp down more.. guess it depends wat you want out of the car..

  7. gotta agree with you on that one.. i got a custom made tripple layer gasket made up with the crush ring and it blew its ass out on the dyno in 5min hahaha.. after that i just welded the up pipe to the headers.. no more leaks.. if anyones after a triple layer 2bolt gasket for there headers to turbo up pipe i got a spare in the glove box i ant gonna use.. lol
  8. i was always told it was the exhaust wheel that generates most of yr lag.. aka the headers and that extra long up pipe when u do the twisted turbo not so much the cooler pipes.. think of it this way.. evo pipes are just as long if not longer.. skyline pipes on the old 2.0 turbo.. just as long.. so whats difference?? the headers are way way shorter....plus if any ones put on a set o stainless headers youll know straight away you lose bottom end power.. something to think about..
  9. got sum new blisters from sanding that new custom manifold so investing in a super cheap mouse sander!! no more hand party!!
  10. I like this apart from the bright paint and the decals and the wing.. i dont mind wings just not that one... lose the mesh in the scoop as well.. the black wheels on orange paint... hmmmm not sure about that one looks like to much ps3 time to me..

Need a big bore throttle for it? they bore em out at gss.. gotta take it back with the throttle so they can match it up.. wats yr take on sizes etc?? it'll be running 3" piping as well.. ive talked to kent @ speed source a few times ive been up there for tunes and he dont really put much stock in the bigger throttles.. theres heaps of pro's and con's... 3" seems very large, has anyone done flow/speed calcs on 3" run of your I/C pipe? Cons are that butterflies are too hard to make and aftermarket ones are a pain to mount up sensors onto etc I measured my mega top munt and the outlet is 63.8mm - So i am happy to have my 64.3mm throttle body even 2.5" ID pipe is 63.5mm I cant see the point running big intake pipes or I/C and then try to force the air thru a 60mm hole (ie factory throttle which is 16% smaller) I know someone will have a std I/C sitting around Can some one measure a std I/C outlet inside diameterand post it up a mate at gss in penrose has all the right bits to make new butterfly and open up throttle plus intake.. so ill prob go with that and stick with the 2.5 on the cold side..
  12. i use 3" on the hot side now and it actually helped make it heaps more responsive.. if it dont work ive still got the 2.5inch pipes.. ive done a few things on the car that plenty o people say is a no no and it turned out to be a yes yes.. what works for sum doesnt for others.. trial and error is the way..

  14. yea got it all from good ol pick a part.. the plastics were a bit expensive.. cost more for plastic trims than it does for a dam bonnet!!! took a bit of hunting to find sum mint ones as the monkeys who show up at pick a part with a screw driver and a house hammer tend to wreck everything then throw it on the ground hahaha.. the door trims i got the fabric re-done to match the seats and the floor mats come out of a later model gtb.. the dash was the only real tricky bit but gives u a reason to pull out all the rubbish u dont need behind it... air-con radiator etc..
  15. i had a black one on there before was a bit to much as all my fittings silicon hoses and the cooler pipes are black.. i was gonna get a mate to air brush it so it looks like a 4 legged spider lol.. either that or air brush it so it looks like carbon fiber..

  17. i swaped my 180k speedo out for a 240k one but just checked the diff ratio was the same.. i run sti gear box and diff so got mine out of a auto wagon cos theres is 4.44 ratio..
  18. after alot of angle grinding and sanding and still more sanding to come... droped off my intake manifold to gss in penrose and got them to fit me up sum weld on fitting.. ahhh more braided line here i come.. no more silicon hose.. marked where i wanted the fittings put on so there as close to where they need to go.. less clutter.. still havent decided if i wanna get it powder coated red yet???

  22. so what was the question again?? so sum ones pulled the old gt motor out put in an rs motor and then done a rear rotor and caliper swap at sum stage over the last 20 years?? this is a real weird thread.. ive seen an rs badge on the back of a wagon before.. my wagon which i just went to pick a part pulled the bagde off an rs then swaped it out for my gt one fits like a glove with a bit of double sided tape ive got the one up again tho cos if anyones seen the back of my car youll see its got a custom made 555 bagde in place of the rs one.. does this mean im in the world rally team???
