As much as it's fun to make faces at 'the enemy'... IMO this sets a scary precedent. :-\

Thats what I was thinking... Mitsubishi also left the wrc albeit earlier the Subaru but none the less look at the final result.

Development of performance metal, such as the current Mitsubishi Evo X, has been in-house with Mitsubishi for a while, so we’ve been promised no noticeable change as a result of Ralliart’s announcement.

doesn't sound like we should be worried since sti do a bit more...

Perhaps not worried, but it should sit in the back of the mind. It's unlikely STi will go down, considering SWRT has rally involvement instead of STi; they also develop a performance vehicle for ALL the big models in Japan, not just the Impreza (Legacy, Forester, Exega). On top of that they also sell parts in their own shop(s).

That said, NOTHING is safe in this day and age. I'm sure everyone's noticed it's an era of change and falling on swords - look at all the finance companies and assumedly stable businesses, particularly those that have been around a century or more, that have fallen over lately.

If Ralliart is toast, STi isn't really at risk...it's just not 100% safe. It never has been (nothing is), but the death of a fellow performance house simply highlights it.

ralliart and sti are pretty differnt companys, the evolution models are made in house in japan, id say ralliart only ever had some input in the group A days. Evolution lancer has its own department in at mitsi HQ, one of our salesmen was taken to japan by mitsi and he had a tour of its facilities

In a nutcase, they were a badge then au?

On the road cars, probably. If you are using an EVO to compete in Group N rallying, then there is a plethora of stuff on the car that is made by Ralliart that is stronger, better than factory standard that you could use as it was still a "factory" part. Will be interesting to see if Mistubishi picks up the slack and produces Group N parts for the PWRC otherwise they really will be rallying with showroom stock models.

Cant really find too much detail on this, but I cant see it impacting anything much at all. Afterall Ralliart isnt one company, there is several. An example being Ralliart Italy which last year prepared the Pirelli Star Driver Evo Xs used in the PWRC. A seperate company from Ralliart Japan....

this is a good point, but i wonder if only the uk branch of ralliart is over? as they used to run the mitsubishi wrc effort, a very successful one in the late 90's. and they are likely a overhang of that, i cant see ralliart japan being over, its to important to mitsubishi, hell who cares about ralliart uk, ralliart nz is one of the top group n mitsi builders in the world

ive just checked and its worldwide, MMC are taking over the fia group n parts and info supply.

I think its Ralliart as a whole. The Group N support is transferring across to Mistubishi Motors Corporation.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
