What he ACTUALLY said is yes indeed, they are both important.

Raglan cruise... his tyres are win but the fail suspension had him boating around behind me. My suspension is win but the tyres, in their bald and baked glory, had me screeching around corners hilariously. Both are less than impressive.

Make your choice on the first, then do the second later.

Your current suspension is not fail. Your current tyres are f@ggotry, thanks to the previous owner being cheap. I'd base my decision on that.

SO it turns out they are Event WL905's on the rears. By the looks of things they are a super cheap tyre and I even read that they are a similar pattern to the 050's... Still, I don't like them ;D

They won't be the same compound though. The RE050 is disgustingly soft, which seems to make it poo on other things wet or dry when on a well-aligned BH.

Not sure about the front (think the linkages are different with the different arms i.e. alloy vs steel) but the rears don't fit as the BC5's have a slightly lower piece under the spare tyre well. Could just move it out of the way with a large hammer though.

Re the links between alloy and steel arms. I'm pretty sure that's independant of the sway bar itself. I installed alloy control arms on the GTB, i just made sure i had alloy arm end links. The alloy arm links bolted to the GTB sway bar perfectly.
