"2010 Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 First Detail

By eauto The result of one of the most eagerly anticipated automotive collaborations in recent times is heading fast towards Subaru dealerships. The Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 officially goes on sale in June, and is set to offer performance-car fans the thrill of a lifetime.

Subaru has confirmed the car will boast an impressive 400PS (395bhp) at 5,750rpm, sufficient to dispatch the 0-62mph sprint in just 3.7 seconds (compared to 300PS / 296bhp at 6,000rpm,and 5.2 seconds for the standard Impreza WRX STI). This ensures the Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 will be one of the most accelerative all-wheel-drive hatchbacks ever.

Subaru also reports that the Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 will feature a bespoke brake package – with six-pot callipers and 355mm discs at the front – developed in partnership with AP Racing, giving the car prodigious stopping power. Coventry-based AP Racing is a leading supplier of brake and clutch components to teams in the Formula One Championship and the World Rally Championship, as well as to leading supercar brands including Bugatti.

A wide range of further upgrades have been made to the suspension, exhaust and to the donor Impreza’s exterior and interior styling. An exclusive, limited edition run of 75 Cosworth Subaru Impreza STI CS400 will be produced, and full details of pricing and technical specification will be announced closer to the on-sale date. "

F1 is slightly different to road cars however. They have a pretty good history of their name being tagged to some really good things in the past. The Cosworth name associated with Ford in particular produced some memorable cars.... And they are pretty well known for things like manifolds and pistons that are considered rather good quality too ;)

However I agree, just like the 22B and everything since, limited editions are kinda pointless, although in some cases rather pretty.

The current Cosworth is a different company to the one that built F1 engines.

They are no longer owned by Ford and now specialise in engneering consultancy and component manufacturing OEM and after-market parts.

Apparently they have kept a finger or two in F1.

Where did "310kW" come from.

310kW = 415bhp

Poetic licence ?

Sugar rush from too many Easter eggs ?

8)

Add 75 to all the other special editions and its plenty.

:D

depends which article you read. The Herald quoted 310 kw yesterday

So why didn't you quote the Herald article instead of the one you posted ?

:P

the Herald was an old world paper version. More difficult to copy and paste.

Cosworth did a lot of engine development for the UK Litchfield Type 20 and Type 25 specials. I'm pretty sure they developed the cylinder heads and camshafts, amongst other things. Overall, it sounds like the Cosworth will be very similar to the Litchfield Type 20, which apparently is a great car.

Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune.
