Help Please.. CEL

Morning everyone, On my way to work i was going up haywards and my speedo stopped working, stink as. Then 20 seconds later check engine light came on and the car was backfiring under de acceleration. Checked CEL code and its 11 and 24, 11 crankshaft position sensor, and 24 Idle air control solenoid. Anyone got some spares lying around that i can purchase? Car seems to drive fine apart from the backfiring and no speedo.

they might be old codes, clear them and check again

the ecu does require a speed input for smooth driving. if you disconnect the speed sensor the engine will miss and run pretty rough unless your just idling. i'd check that sensor first, at the gearbox side (beside the turbo) because the dash gets the signal first then feeds it to the ecu

same as CJ271's syptoms. his has thrown a 33 though.

cud be a broken speedo cable as well.. mantis is a v3, so still a mech feed to the cluster.

Yeah im assuming the speedo cable is broken easy fix, the other 2 not so much.... Expensive? Cable priced up between 60-70$ Tricky to install? Best to buy brand new ones or try source some 2nd hand ones?

Sweet as, will the cable affect the other two things? Car is back firing badly though so i guess something is up. I will replace the cable and go from there. Best place to get cable? subaru itself?

no they're not related. as i said, find out if the other codes are persistent. your speedo is likely the only problem

Your car would not go if the crank sensor had shat itself.

it'll be the small plastic bit where the speed sensor sits on the gearbox - pulled out a broken one before and it looked partially of plastic composition

you coming out to the meet tonight??? one of us could look at it..

So i pulled the crank sensor out and it was filthy so gave that a clean. Pulled gauge cluster out and the cable was in firmly, disconected it from the gear box and sure if enough its broken. Got a new one coming from subaru. Car still has an eradic idle and nearly stalls everytime i come to a complete stop and backfires alot so i have some upper engine cleaner coming so hopefully that fixes that... fingers crossed.

Well new speedo cable is in, upper engine cleaner is done and have cleaned the crank position sensor and everything is sweet as again. That upper engine cleaner is awesome, engine is quiter, idle is steady and very happy with the results, worth every penny.

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
