V3 STI Air flow meter

I just noticed I have a purple air flow meter in my V3 STI. I used the search function and it seems I should have a orange stickered air flow meter??? Mind you I have only driven my STI about 20kms slowly without boosting so not too sure how well it runs. Will a purple AFM make my car run not as good as it should? I have yellow injectors..

My car was stolen before I got it and the previous owner put it back together with what he could find I imagine. Hence why it has a V2 bonnet and bumper. So a V3 STI should have a orange AFM and not a purple? And will any orange do or is there a particular one?

Sti v3 should have orange afm and its 90mm - largest subaru afm

So your probably going to need a bigger connecting pipe to the turbo inlet pipe as well

AFAIK the GTB of similar age has the same orange afm

AFAIK there are no other orange afms.

wait on nick - what v3 wagons do you mean..? My V3 STI Gf8 got orange afm

the purple AFM i've seen on Foresters with phase 2 engines, by no means the only model im sure.

Looking at his car it seems a collection of parts from older models

Dash looks v3 sti 8000rpm redline, manifold has some red left on it, looks like it has the air temperature sensor as well.

Best to also check what ecu it has in it.

yeah id go with the above first, check what ECU is in it as I havent seen a non orange afm paired with yelow inj in v3/4 wrx/sti before and should most definitly have an orange afm if its on the standard STI ecu and has yellows...

geez that 3S must be running weird on yellow injectors..

you can use a 1S or 6S to improve. they use the yellows and require the orange AFM

after that i would find a V3 sti intercooler, with the alloy y pipe and silicon joiner.

you will also require the larger rubber joiner (90mm) between the AFM and intake (and top half of 90mm factory airbox if your staying with factory setup)

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
