B4 Legacy - fuel pump controller? Or wiring diagram?

Anyone know if B4 legacys have fuel pump speed controllers? If so where they're located?

I suspect they do and it's by the steering column, but there is another mysterious box behind where the lighter socket is...

Also anyone have a wiring diagram for these things? Pref with the loom layout in it

The speed controller should be in the left hand side of the boot behind the panel.

Is that a sedan or wagon? does it matter? Going to look in the boot now... Is the panel on the floor or on the side?

I dont see anything behind either fuel tank hatch if that's what you mean?

tried to find the info in the manuals i got, but the files not being labeled so good, its a bit of a struggle at this time of night

I just went out and took this picture just for you. This is a wagon, I assume it's the same for sedan.

It sits behind the panel the arrow points to.

Here's the mod done, pretty self explanatory...

Can't remember if there was anything else but I had the pump running when ever the key was 'on'.

I found a random non-oem looking device up there called a 'boost-a-pump'. no idea who installed that or when...

They dont reference EFI that i can see so what it's doing in this car is beyond me.. Ah well hopefully it solves my problem

Um, yeah, me and chris just ran a new wire directly from the ECU to the fuel pump relay somewhere in drivers foot well.

The GTB ECU fuel pin supplies a minute (i think 0.7 volt) signal to the controller for fuel. Where's the same gen impreza or forester ECU's just switch ground. Both use the same pin though.

Did this today - took all of half an hour , worst part was removing all the trim.

Didnt fix the issues but eliminated 1 more thing
