vf22 vs vf30

quick question, is there much advantage it changing froma vf30 to vf22 on a v7 sti?

like any much noticeable difference - bang for buck wise

I know a VF30 is made to be reconditioned, they say a VF22 can be rebuilt but AFAIK were never intended to be from factory. So thats a consideration when choosing.

Larger exhaust housing = more top end. Plus the 22 is ballbearing.

Yeh I wouldn't bother either, unless you don't care about the $$ difference in the swap.

so in summary the difference in output is not all that at all based on the effort needded to swap out etc ((time/cost factor)

I have had both on my WRX and there is a very slight difference. Even though the Vf22 is ball bearing the VF30 spools up sooner and the power is alot more even though the rev range. The Vf22 has a more lag but slightly more top end power.

My advise would be dont waste your money, do other mods or buy a larger turbo.

You KNOW VF30/34/39's and such are quite capable turbo's mate
