New car time.. Again

Sudo

Recommended Posts

Thought it was time to find a new car instead of driving a peice of shit commodore around. Went for something i've been after for awhile now.

M35 Stagea, 2.5L Neo V6

Bit different haha, but I want somethin new and a good cruiser, and room for sounds.

I love the interior layout so it's a good base for a ICE install.

How bad is it on gas? If I remember correctly when I was looking at upgrading from my GTB I looked at one of these and it was the only car on the list of cars to compare (which included BP5 Legacy, 540i and an Evo 7) that actually had worse fuel consumption than my GTB.

But I guess I want to know - in the real world, are they actually that bad on gas?

Umm I've only driven it for a couple hours. Register andmake it mine officially tommorrow.

I did 90kms on 2 bars. My forester was about that for a quarter tank. So it seems better so far.

Alot of people say it's ugly but it brings me back to my Skyline. Same seats actually. Just with the newer chassis and comfort of a wagon.

Looks like they got bored and went home before designing the back end....leaving it to the guy who usually builds school buses but was working overtime that night

True, to some, IMO it's got that nice clean Volvo look to the back of it...

The front on the other hand, looks like a first year high school student who just got high for the first time.

ITS EYES ARE SOOOOOOOO BIGGGGGGGG.

Nice car mate. I has a Skyline 250GT which has the same motor and running gear. Drives nice and smooth, very economical too. Those wagons look good with fat wheels on them, the back will easily take an 18x10 inch rim.

The sedan had the exact same suspension setup as a 350z and the wagon is probably similar, easy to get suspension parts for it. I had a set of 350z coilovers on mine, completely trasformed the handling.

Strange mine isnt too bad, but its going on adjustables soon hopefully.

They're no quick machines thats for sure, but I did manage to keep up with an old forester lol

Had one of these myself 12 months or so ago...had the192kw VQ30DD engine and returned approx 10L/100km combined so not bad for a big lump. Fitted some 19" wheels as like you say they need bug wheels. Very comfortable and an excellent chopice for a sound install imho. The rear suspension is pretty poor from factory - you find this when crossing railway lines or dips in the road where it struggles for damping control.

The main reason I ditched it was the transmission - I just couldn't face the over geared power spping auto any more!

Nice in red man and I love those Wolf wheels, good buying.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
