wrx turbo

i need a little advice on what sort of turbo i should run on my wrx its running a 06 2.5 block atm with 800cc injectors top feed fuel rails and a link g4 tdo5 20g witch made 200kw atw at 12psi but i want more power LOL :) i was sort of aming for 400hp maybe LOL

any ideas ?

200kw atw is still pretty safe for that at 12psi. I got at 21psi 221kw atw with my td05/18g and that was limited due to fuelling issues and that was on R.E sinclairs rolling road dyno.

Turbo's though, hmm heaps of offers. Personally Im looking at a garrett 3076 however if I can get a td05/06 hybrid for a good enough deal I may go down that road, but so far cost wise it's almost better to go down the garrett road.

Holsets that Koom mentioned is another great option, very good price and built reliable. It's an option im certainly watching ;)

No I haven't actually. Seen the odd Borg-Warner/Schwitzer on one or two down here though. As with the Holsets though, there's a myriad of options to choose from at your peril.

12psi on 2.5 is close to 18psi... Ok me lost lol would you be able to elaborate on that as I never realised it made a difference between 2.0 - 2.5. Always thought u could just put more boost through the turbo or has it something to do with greater amounts of air being pulled through due to it being a 2.5 or something hence limiting what boost u can goto?

yeah dont you know that if you want a true boost reading, you have to order the special 2.5l boost guage! A 2.0 guage wont tell you the truth...

He's talking about air flow. i.e. a 2.0L @18psi will have equivalent cfm to a 2.5L @12psi. And airflow equates to horsepower.

So, a 2.5L @ 12psi will make about the same power as a 2.0L @18psi. All else being equal.

yep thats what i was talking about.

12psi on a larger engine is alot more flow - so altho it sounds low if your use to 2.0 boost levels it may not be on a 2.5.

Are you asking something along the lines of this;

2.0L @18psi will have equivalent cfm (volume flow rate) to a 2.5L @12psi [at the same rpm points]

      Afternoon team,
      im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket. 
      Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.
