Blitzen - surely not STI tuned?

Bit of a question for those in the know, there's a Blitzen for sale on TradeMe, seems in good nick etc, being advertised as having an "STI tuned engine" along with an STI exhaust.

As far as i was aware, the Blitzens were pretty much cosmetic "upgrades". Has someone just painted the cover silver and stuck an STI sticker on it?

most probably, but dont take my word for it, the mrs bought a heap of those exact stickers off trademe for $10 haha

Yeah, just seems a strange place to bother putting the sticker if you were going to since no one can see it. Just thought i'd check in case there was a model i wasn't aware of..

Blitzens share same motor as RSK/GT

Maybe he should change discription to "STi Sticker Tuned Engine"

yea but those Sti stickers add around 20-25kw dont they? I heard you can hook them up with a switch to your oil cooler/filter to get the gains, but only if you have your wastegate welded to your intercooler

20-25 kw would be a stretch but in combination with the HKS sticker it shouldnt be too hard to see those kind of gains

Could buy it, put stickers on the boot, door trims, and by the gear lever. Should pull low 10's after that

i thought the Blitzen had a revised ECU and a couple of minor changes that saw around 235kw at engine?

Not saying it is STi tuned in anyway.

Those little square STi badges... You can buy them off the shelf at subaru dealerships in japan. That blitzen will not be STi, of this i am sure.

And you guy's are small time, if you combine a NISMO and TRD sticker, you get an extra 100 KW at the wheels.
