Anyone know of any good ones around?

Missus brother has stuffed an end tank, just wondering if anyone knows someone that could inspect and tell me if its just the tank or whole thing needs replacing.

where are you?

race radiators in chch are reputed to be good. Havent used them myself but this is what i have heard and afaik they do a fair bit of work for people up and down the country in performance applications.

an end tank is about 200 fitted and cleaned out.

any radiator shop will do it just as good as the other.

get a quote before you get it done,

and usually the end tank that goes is the drivers side, as the heat from exhaust bakes it and the water temp is hotter in that side.

I got my new radiator from Capital Radiators on Douglas St, off Adelaide Road. Really, really good service and I'd have no hesitation in going there again. $300 for an alloy replacement. No more end tank issues

I second that, I had a end tank split under the top hose, it was about $200-250 to fix, i ended up buying an alloy puppy from Auckland for $300.00, so no more end tank problems. And it looks nicer....for that race look bling.

Redline Performance used to do the alloy radiators for about the same price. $280 ish. and they are local too.

I just brought an alloy one from Redline with silicon hoses for $355 incl gst

the redline ones are crap quality compare to pauls one.

Yeah I have heard good and not so good stories from the Redline ones. I don't know what brand or model their ones are, but the one I got is a Fenix

And it looks like they do lots of other stuff as well.. so should all be decent quality.
