Old thread.... but I hear in South Auckland there's a few streets where some awesome 'mechanics' will come and remove your rims faster than you can say "is that a battery powered rattle gun?"

I know its old but I have been to Alex a few times now. Seems friendly, thorough and professional and I will continue to use him.

Same here, they are fast and professional. Not the cheapest around but you certainly get what you pay for - quality. They put in a new clutch and machined flywheel, timing belt, idlers, tensioners, waterpump, stripped and cleaned the oil pump and loctite the nuts. had a check out on the big end bearing (i'd just bought the car at 98kms alex said they are a common to fail - luckily they said it was still tight) coolant flush and pollen filter. that was about $1800 including 9 hours labour. for an 01 bug eye impreza

and Alex is a real friendly guy!

Same here, another +1 for Alex and the guys @ Highbrook Automotive. Most down to earth, help you whereever they can kinda guys. Easily the best garage I have ever dealt with.

I am an extremely unhappy customer of Innovate Subaru (ex Innovate Autotech) and like most customers of theirs, are complaining using our feet, and leaving.

I realise this is old, but hey! People want to know who to use!
