Common sense though really. Think before you post should be on everyones mind or maybe a little pop up that reminds people to not post negative junk when they click post with a confirm button to say "yes I have thought about my post and I believe it wont offend anyone"

Can we have a system that rewards us for being good, instead of just punishing us for being bad?

If we're not given a a positive incentive we may grow up to be unfulfilled members of clubsub one day.

Maybe we can get a gold star for helping people in tech threads, and a silver star for being extra polite?

hur hur - there is a feature to allow us to add kudos or similar to helpful users - buddy system or something will see if we still have an active admin and find out... it was mentioned at a previous meeting

maybe something simple given to reputable tech guys, just the let the n00bs know who is who

SubieClub has a stars-for-good-people system. Lol. If they post good stuff, you can give them a star ranking...they slowly work their way up to 5 for being helpful with tech etc. A bit wanky but also a good indication for new members etc...if someone with no stars answers a tech question, then yeah...just an average user. If someone with many tech stars answers...yeah, probably knows what they're talking about ;D

actually it has been an invaluable tool where it has been used wisely - enabling "us" to keep an eye on the watched users without having to manually track their posts!

Like they say with the CCTV cameras in town, the red light cameras, and road rules...if you don't do anything wrong why are you having piles? It's for the general, non-misbehaving user's benefit that such measues (LIKE IN USE ON MANY FORUMS, kthx) are in place. People having an epileptic over it are clearly in fear of retribution themselves

.......... i got a Pm about mine almost 2 days after it was issued.

- part of it removed by another lovely mod the same day it was issued, as he beleived that i had a right to be posting and not blocked...

maybe there needs to be a set of rules for moderators too? as obveously we all have slightly differnt ways of doing things and seeing things... clearly the current way is not working.
