all good aim, there are so many bloody different ways to try and work it out, but i found the best was is to check the chassis plate.

sorry for bringing up an old post... but is rev d definitely one to go for? cause i see a lot of price difference between 1998 and 2002 models

once i get rev d, i will be broke and won't have spare cents left for a while...

if the different between early rev and the last rev is huge, i don't want to regret getting early rev later on.... but then if the differences are minimum, i rather have some money in my bank in case of emergency

IMHO, Rev D is worth the extra (evidence by the fact I have one ) But if you have limited funds, you'll get a similar experience out of an a/b/c. They're just slightly heavier, less efficient, can't be tuned, and lag a tiny bit more. If none of this matters to you, I wouldn't worry, they're still mint to drive

Rev C's don't have the extra price hike, and are only missing a few things that the D's have - possibly the best option? But at the end of the day, find one that looks good, drives well and is at the right price point and you won't be doubting your purchase just because doesn't have an alloy bonnet.

Rev D's aren't the only ones with alloy bonnets, my rev B 1999 had an alloy bonnet factory. However rev D's ONLY have alloy bonnets.

I would go for rev D. Newer, nicer all round.
