Where to buy parts and oil change in Wellington?

Hi

I've just purchased a Subaru Legacy TS-R 1994.

I bought it from a friend and he's had it a couple of years - I think he's done a fair few k's in it but he said the air filter, oil filter and oil haven't been changed in the time since he had the car, so I'm pretty keen to get them done as soon as I can.

Can someone recommend a place in Wellington to buy an air filter? I'm happy to fit the air filter myself but have been told that it's wise to buy Subaru parts as quality of the no-name stuff from Repco etc can be questionable.

Unfortunately, I have no tools at all with me in NZ (I'm working here for one year), so I wouldn't be able to the oil change and replace the oil filter.

So, can someone recommend a good garage in Wellington that can do the oil change for me too?

Can't really suggest a garage for the oil change, but go and talk to Liam at Armstrong in town for the air filter.

Yup

and most garages should get an oil change right, what suburb are you located in?

Yes, corner of Cambridge and Barker. He works in the parts department - real helpful fella.

Yeah go see Liam for your Air Filter.

He might be able to run across the road with you to buy some Oil and an Oil Filter too if ya lucky .

Let me know if you need help changing the oil and oil filter - pretty easy job and can be done very quickly

I'm in Kilbirnie - any good garages in that area? (should've mentioned I'm only in Wellington temporarily - will be here until July)

Liam - I was just going to put the car into a garage to get the oil & oil filter changed - I am hopeless at doing any type of maintenance on a car - I'd end up breaking something and it would cost me more in the end!
