Oil pressure readings

So I finally installed my oil pressure gauge . Iv wired it all up as per diagram . . But im wondering what pressure you should see ? When oils hot . . . The main thing is when I push my brake at the lights according to my gauge it drops around 8psi just from pushing the brake ? Also headlights make it drop further ? I realise the alternator gets more load when lights are used etc and this would effect oil pressure. But not that much I would have thought ? It also sometimes reads 0psi when you use stuff . . No oil light and no run big end so guessing some things wrong with the gauge . Could it be that the positive feed is not good enough ? Sender is earthed to the block

That sounds like somthing is wrong wiring wise, oil pressure shouldn't change due to changes in electrical load. Only with RPM, oil Temp and engine load.

i usually earth the guage and sender at the same point

i wil try a new power source plus new earths.. will post a reply once i get around to it...

anyone know exactly what PSI i should see? hot idle and hot max psi?

i get about 2.5 3 at idle and up to 8+ anywhere above 1800rpm. 4 on cold startup

and no change with electrical use. my two 12" subs cranking doesnt affect oil pressure

Asked the same question elsewhere a short while ago, Yes 8 bar is normal...

My TT reads over 8bar from 1500RPM...

Aw yeah I remember my old Wrx I had a 100psi gauge and it use to tap out.
