How much to repair a charging point on a laptop and also the wireless card?

Is it the charging point on the laptop itself or in the end of the cable?

With the WLAN card I would have to inspect it to find out if it's a software, physical failure of the card or something more evil. There would be a $25 inspection fee that gets waived if you go ahead with the quoted repairs.

Basically, if it's the mainboard that's faulty then it's not worth fixing as the cost about $600-800 just for the parts.

yea its the charging point on the laptop and as for the wireless it some times goes and then doesnt

Bugger, that would need a new mainboard then. The wireless may be fixable but it wouldn't be worth it if the mainboard needs replacing anyway.

I use a laser distance measure to find out how far the speakers are from the centre seat which means the surround sound amp can delay each speaker correctly so the sound gets to you at the right time. I then use a professional sound level meter (might bring it to the dyno night for fun) to set the correct volume level for each speaker. I can also suggest speaker positions.

The TV then gets the brightness, contrast and tint setup to THX standards.

That sounds complicated ! I'm sure most people with a good amp have a microphone that you place in the position you want the best sound and it automatically adjusts the speakers for volume and delay. The TV stuff I have no idea on though.

I had a mainboard for a HP laptop repaired by re-soldering the power connection back on, you need someone with circuit-board experience tho...

The type of person is someone who builds them for the likes of ABB etc...

Very hard finding one of those guys...

The microphone is for noobs and only newer or high end amps have that feature.

Do you mean it doesn't work ? It's sounds really cool when it does the step through's though.

I have no idea, I'm just raising the question. How is what you do so different ? I'm all ears, always keen to learn.

The microphone method does work but it's not as accurate as doing it manually. It's like the difference between auto and manual gearboxes, the auto does a good job but isn't as crisp or presice and you don't have as much control over it as you do with a manual....that's the best comparison I could come up with LOL :P

I'm definitely a noob when it comes to home theatre setups. This is the first component system we've had. We've only ever had those cheap syatems that allow almost no customisation. This amp is insane, the fucking instruction book alone is 140 odd pages! That in itself isn't an indication of qualiy, lol, but it sure makes setting it up properly a bit more difficult.

      Afternoon team,
im new to the group first time posting. Im hoping some body can help me get my launch control all dialled in on my link g4x. Ive had the computer and car all tuned from chris at prestige awesome knowlegable guy super happy with the results but now im wanting to get my launch/anti lag all dialled in. Ive been reading multiple different forums etc all with different conflicking information which has made me nervious with what do i listen to this or that if you get what i mean. Now ive started to make myself familiar with my PClink software etc the past few weeks and im eager to learn how to do minor setups or tweaks etc so im not relieing on my tuner so much and obviously saving myself abit hurt in the back pocket.
Now back to the question at hand.... Im wondering if theres and one who could please share there knowledge and wisdom with setting all my values, timing, fuel etc when i have launch control armed and engaged, or even a launch tune file they can possibly send me to load onto my tune. Ive figured out the setup of my digital inputs turning launch control on etc and its obvisously on its pre set factory settings. It engages but doesnt sound the greatest or as angry as it should i feel. Hence reaching out to you good buggers.

Cheers in advance for any info and help yous maybe able to give me.

      Cheers Shaun
